Mission
The Sasikala (Memorial) Education Trust was established in the year 1984 by lion R.Pandiyan in memory of his departed daughter Baby Sasikala with a view to promoting education especially Technical Education in the rural & urban areas throughout the state of Tamilnadu. To start with “Thanapandiyan Polytechnic College” was started in the year 1985 in Uchapatti Village of Thirumangalam Taluk of Madurai District.
Location
Situated 7 Kms from the city limits on the Madurai-Kanya kumari National High ways (NH-7) and one has to take City bus Route No 52,48 & 49 and so on to reach the college site. The college has also provided own transport facilities for the students & staff from Madurai city and Thirumangalam.
