Alhaj Dr. S.M. Shaik Nurddin founded Aalim Muhammed Salegh Trust in his father's name in the year 1990. This trust was registered under the Tamil Nadu Scoieties Registration Act 1975 with the aim of imparting General, Technical and Medical education in particular to the weaker sections of the society and backward communities. Aalim Muhammed Salegh Trust is running Aalim Muhammed Salegh Industrial Training Institute from the year 1993, Aalim Muhammed Salegh Polytechnic from the year 1996, Aalim Muhammed Salegh of Paramedical Sciences from the year 1997 and Aalim Muhammed Salegh College of Engineering from the year 2000. All the above Institutions are functioning in spacious buildings with well ventilated calssrooms, fully equipped laboratories, workships with well qualified and experienced faculty. These institutions are managed by a Board of Trustees consisting of Philanthropists, Educationists and Professionals from various disciplines with vast Aalim Muhammed Salegh College of Engineering is located in the Avadi - IAF area amongst sylvan surroundings. This Engineering College is established with the purpose of offering opportunities in engineering education to the young men and young women to equip themselves for employment. The Job oriented courses of Aalim Muhammed Salegh College of Engineering are backed up with excellent infrastructure facilities to enable the students to excel in knowledge and skills required at professional levels. The Aalim Muhammed Salegh College of Engineering is functioning in spacious buildings with well ventilated classrooms, fully equipped laboratories, workshops with highly qualified and experienced faculty and a library with about 10,000 books. The college hostel stands for discipline and flair, its spacious and breezy atmosphere can accommodate about 587 students. Each room is carefully architected to provide all basic necessitates. Great care for the student have been practiced by the college committee to keep the hostel premises much free from thud and pollution, The AMS is very much keen interested in providing excellent studying environment. The total area of the hostel stands in an astonishing figure; it is finely constructed with gym, reading rooms, library, mess, recreation rooms. Ample facilities are provided for students to participate in sports activities and indoor games like table tennis, chess, and carom. The foodstuff provided by the mess is known for its hygiene and taste, both veg and non-veg are provided for the students, special care have been taken by the chief, to maintain the excellence of the food served. The much awaited ‘GYMNASTICS HALL’ for our College Students was thrown open on the 9th of January 2009 by the Secretary and Correspondent Janab. S. SEGU JAMALUDEEN. The Gym Hall is located in the College Hostel in about 1000 square feet area with all the modern gymnastic exercise gadgets at a cost of Rs. 2.5 Lakhs. The College Administration has appointed a trainer to monitor the students and also to teach them the methods of using the gadgets safely and usefully. Since the Management of the College is interested in providing the Students with amenities of all kinds, the ‘GYM HALL’ found its place is the college hostel surrounded by lush green peaceful atmosphere. Ever improving results in engineering growing which is the principle behind A.M.S. Institutions in an untiring way. The aim of Career Planning & Development cell is to provide training to Engineering & Management students from the first year itself and impart various soft skills to enable them to acquire employable skills completely by the third year. Detailed planning is carried out at the beginning of the 7th semester for placements. Smart Training Resources was contracted to train the students in aptitude, reasoning and soft skills for a duration of 40 hours. Meticulous planning is done to enable the students to participate in the recruitment drive organized by CMM level 5 Companies and place them in targeted companies lime Infosys, Satyam, L&T, Cambridge Solutions, iGate, Wipro, CTS, Syntel, Schenider Electric, Axles India, Amalgamation, Bharti Airtel, BYD Electronics, Johnson Lifts, Asahi Glass, ETA ASCON, The fame of any institution becomes stronger and stronger year after with the progressive contributions made by its students. The institution will stand the test of time and grows into eternity by its achievements in every sphere of the academics and the allied fields of knowledge inputs. Analytical frame of mind, objective thinking, perseverance of mind and the pivotal place the students of this institution occupy alone make it glow like a pole star.
