Department of Zoology

The Department of Zoology as a post-graduate department came into existence in the month of July 1964. We run classes for M.Sc. and M.Phil. The intake capacity of the students per year is 40. Syllabus of M.Sc. the course is strictly based on UGC guidelines.

The Department building is situated on the southern side of the University campus and occupies 12830 Sq. feet area. It is a two-storey building. It has M.Sc. Part – I Laboratory, Cell-biology, Environmental and Physiology Laboratories, Animal House, Museum, Store, Chemical Preparatory Room, Frog are, two Research Laboratories, nine Staff Rooms, Photography Room, Computer Room and Instrumentation Room. The laboratories are up-to-date, fully equipped and Modern. Besides, the Department has Animal House
