The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is the premier government body in India which is concerned with developing a competent and professional workforce for work in the countless factories and industries within the country that are run by the government. With the recent push by the government to spread technical education to wider areas in the country and increase the levels of education being spread and imparted to technical trainees, there have been many scholarships that have been established to help technical trainees acquire an education that will allow them to work happily and live with dignity.

Eligibility
- Applicants must be admitted to the 1st year of diploma/degree programme of an AICTE approved college/institute in the current academic year through the centralised admission process of the State/Central Government.
- Two girls per family are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
- The annual family income of the applicant must not be more than INR 8 Lac during the preceding financial year. In case the applicant is married, the income of parents/in-laws is considered, whichever is higher.
How to Apply
To help applicants in the application process, AICTE allows them to fill the Pragati scholarship application form through the AICTE Portal. Follow the steps highlighted below to fill the application form.
- First, the applicants need to create a new profile by registering themselves on the AICTE Portal.
- On registering with the AICTE Portal, the applicants receive a confirmation email link on their registered email ID. Click on the link to confirm registration.
- Now, the candidates need to log in at the AICTE Portal using their registered email ID/Username and password to fill the Pragati application form.
- The applicants are required to provide personal details, family & income details, college/institute details, education details and bank details while filling the application form.
- The candidates must upload the scanned copies of the required documents and submit the application form.
