Department of Economics
The Department of Economics was established in 1977 and offers M.A. & M.Phil. prograames based on CBCS mode with intake of 70 and 20 (for 2014-15) respectively and Ph.D. programme as per the UGC Regulation2009 with present maximum capacity of 32 enrollments. Admissions to these programmes are based on merit. There are four well qualified faculty members in the department who besides regular teaching undertake research and extension activity. Departmental research orientation and focus is primarily upon local and regional issues.
