Department of Chemistry (DOC) was established in 1980 under the guidance of Prof. V M Thakor. Department has more than dozens projects of worth Rs. 10 Crore and collaborations with various pharma industries as well as with the institutes that includes Dupont, Astra Zeneca, Merck, Spec-Biospeces, R.J.W., Jhonson, Ranbaxy, Alembic Ltd, Claris LifeSciences, Nicholas Piramal, Dabur, Zydus Research Centre, NIH-USA.
