Department of Agricultural Economics
The post- graduate teaching in Agricultural Economics started in year 1962 at Ranchi Agricultural College, Kanke, Ranchi with one Professor and one Assistant Professor and first batch of students passed out in 1963-64. After the establishment of Rajendra Agricultural University the post- graduate teaching along with positions of Professor and research projects like Agro- Economic Research and Comprehensive Cost of Cultivation Scheme were transferred from Ranchi Agriculture College, Kanke, to Tirhut College of Agriculture, Dholi, Muzaffarpur in 1975 which was subsequently shifted to Pusa with its constitution unit as Department of Agricultural Economics at TCA Dholi.
