Guru Nanak College, Moga was established in the year 1971, Guru Nanak College, Moga is affiliated to Panjab University, Chandigarh.

The college was established to commemorate the quincentenary celebration of shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji . The philanthropists and the well-wishers of the city and the surrounding area set up the college aiming at the all round development of the students by laying special stress on moral upliftment and other extra curricular activities. All great things have humble beginnings, revolutions are born out of the eradle of untiring and fearless strife of change the desire provides impetus to all small steps that go on to become giant leaps for mankind. In light of the great sentence ‘GHARIYE SURAT MUT MAN BUDHI’ Guru Nanak education trust was formed. This trust further set up a managing committee. The committee made the foundations of the college strong during the years 1971 to 1978. After that the whole management of the college came under Shrimoni Gurduwara Parbhandak Committee SGPC Amritsar. In the beginning years the arrangement for higher education was just for boys in the subjects of Arts. In 1991-92 co-education was introduced..
