Dayanand Mathra Dass College, Moga was started in 1926 by Rai Bahadur Dr.Mathra Dass Pahwa, THE Awardee of "PADAM VIBHUSAN" and the eminent eye surgeon, philanthropist and educationist in the Sacred memory of the Maharishi Swami Dayanand Saraswati. It is one of the eminent and excellent institutions of the State. It has been the envy and emulation of the neighboring institutions for many a decade. It has been holding aloft the banner of light and learning for the last eighty two years and has been serving Moga and its surrounding areas of Punjab, Haryana and Himachal with a singleness of purpose and devotion in the sphere of higher education.

The institution has been invested with a lofty mission of dispelling the darkness and ignorance. It aims at the harmonious development of the students in the physical, mental and spiritual spheres. It has proved to be the singular institution in many a respect throughout the length and breadth of the country.

The institution, since its inception, has introduced many faculties like M.A.Economics, B.A.Honors, B.Sc Medical, B.com, Post Graduate Diploma course in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations. Recently the new courses of B.CA. P.G.D.C.A and office Management, Music, Physical Education and Computer Science have been introduced. The institution has education by introducing Post Graduate Classes in Various subjects like Hindi, Punjabi and English to fulfils the persistent demand of the people of this area. An innovative flexible system of the certificate/diploma/advanced diploma has been introduced in the subjects of Air-conditioning & Refrigeration, Soap &Detergents and Computer based Accounting at undergraduate level. The steps taken in this direction will definitely elucidate the lofty mission of this institution that is "COME TO LEARN, Go TO SERVE".

The college is established in the spacious and commodious building located in the heart of the city. It provides cordial, congenial and conductive atmosphere for mental, moral and physical development of the students.

The college can boast of impressive infrastructure in the shape of adequate and airy class rooms, girl's common room, college canteen, seminar hall, well stocked library, lush green lawns, big playgrounds, well-equipped laboratories in the subjects of chemistry, physics, zoology, botany and computer science. The management is actively considering the further expansion of the institution in all the spheres.

The college is managed by D.M. College Managing Committee, Moga under the President ship of Sh. Sudarshan Kumar Sharma.
