      About Thakur Institute Of Aviation Technology TIAT, Mumbai

      Thakur Institute of Aviation Technology (TIAT) has been established in March 2006.The institute is approved by Directorate General of Civil Aviation (D.G.C.A), Govt. of India, New Delhi, Vide Letter No. Q3 TIAT / 1392 dated 24/03/2006, Q3 TIAT / 5814 dated 21/11/2006, Q3 TIAT / 3629 dated 17/06/2008 under category 'G' Training School, to impart ab-initio training in the field of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering for obtaining Basic Licence in, Mechanical Stream : Heavy Aeroplane and Jet Engine and Avionics Stream : Electrical System, Instrument System and Radio Navigation System and Mechanical Stream Rotary Wing : (RA), Jet Engine (JE) and Piston Engine (PE).

      As reflected in mission statement the TIAT has set upon itself a responsibility of providing quality comparable to international standards and preparing students for aviation industry. To meet quality assurance requirements, Institute has opted ISO 9001 - 2008 certificate in the year 2008 for all courses from Benchmark. To ensure the quality education, the management is committed to provide quality technical education and is striving continuously to improve its effectiveness by taking subsequent measures.

      Thakur Institute of Aviation Technology has set upon itself a responsibility of providing quality comparable to international standards and preparing students for aviation industry. The Institute is approved by EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) Part 147, for CAR 147(Basic) vide letter no. DGCA/CAR/147(B)/07 dated 07/08/2018 in order to harmonise training requirements for the maintenance training organizations to international standards.

      To meet the quality assurance requirement, institute has opted for ISO 9001:2008 from BSI (British Standard Institution). To ensure quality education, management is committed to render quality technical education & is striving continually to improve its effectiveness by taking relevant measures.
