During the twenty first century, interest in microbiology increased quite significantly due to the wide application of microorganisms in studying different biological process. The main stimulus for wide scope of microbiology undoubtedly is due to their involvement in biotechnology and molecular biology. Keeping in that mind, the department of Microbiology was established in the academic year 2002-2003 with M.Sc. Microbiology. The aim of our Department is to promote quality and values based education by motivating the practical skills of students and create awareness on the recent advances in Microbiology and research fields worldwide
