Alhaj Dr. S.M. Shaik Nurddin founded Aalim Muhammed Salegh Trust in his father's name in the year 1990. This trust was registered under the Tamil Nadu Scoieties Registration Act 1975 with the aim of imparting General, Technical and Medical education in particular to the weaker sections of the society and backward communities.

The management of the college is vested under the Society "National Society for Engineering Research & development".
