SLAT Cutoff, PI Shortlisting and Category Trends
SIU conducts the further admission process separately for each programme and institute. A single universal SLAT cutoff should not be assumed. Official category-wise or programme-wise shortlisting thresholds are available only when the relevant institute publishes them.
Factors that affect shortlisting
- SLAT marks or percentile and the score used when a candidate takes both test dates.
- Programme and campus selected in the application.
- Number of applicants, score distribution and programme demand.
- Seat intake, reservation rules and category documentation.
- Performance in the subsequent PI and any additional current-cycle admission criteria.
Qualifying benchmarks and category-wise trends
The 10+2 aggregate percentage is an eligibility benchmark, not an SLAT cutoff. The stated academic eligibility minimums are 45% for general-category candidates and 40% for SC/ST candidates, subject to the current programme rules. Compare historical cutoffs only when the year, institute, programme, category and admission stage are identified. Past or unofficial score estimates do not guarantee shortlisting or admission.
Where to check official results
Use the individual Symbiosis Law School admission pages and SIU notices for programme-specific PI calls, merit lists, waitlists and category requirements. Confirm whether a published threshold is for PI shortlisting or final admission before comparing it with another year.
