CSIR UGC NET Answer Key 2026: Provisional Key, Response Sheet & Challenge Process
The National Testing Agency (NTA) releases the Provisional CSIR UGC NET Answer Key along with candidates' recorded responses and question papers within 7 to 10 days of concluding the Computer Based Test. Candidates can challenge any question or answer key by submitting proof and paying a processing fee.
How to Download Answer Key & Response Sheet
- Go to the official portal: csirnet.nta.ac.in
- Click on 'Display of Provisional Answer Keys and Recorded Responses for Joint CSIR-UGC NET'.
- Log in using your Application Number and Date of Birth / Password.
- Click on 'View Question Paper / Marked Responses' to inspect your answers.
- Click on 'View / Challenge Answer Key' to compare with official answers.
Objection / Challenge Procedure
If you find any discrepancy in the provisional key, follow these steps to file an objection:
- Select the Question ID and the Option ID you believe is correct.
- Upload supporting documentary proof as a single consolidated PDF document.
- Pay a non-refundable processing fee of ₹ 200 per challenged question through online payment mode.
- Subject experts review all received challenges. If verified, the answer key is revised for all candidates, and final results are calculated based on the revised final key.
