CLAT 2026-2027 Result: Scorecard Download, All India Rank & Merit List
The CLAT Result is declared by the Consortium of National Law Universities within one to two weeks following the release of the final answer key. Candidates can download their official scorecard by logging in with their credentials at consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
The CLAT scorecard contains the candidate's section-wise breakdown, total normalized score, All India Rank (AIR), and applicable category ranks (SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwD, State Domicile). The declared All India Rank determines eligibility for seat allocation across the 24 National Law Universities.
How to Check and Download CLAT Result & Scorecard
- Navigate to the official portal: consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
- Log in using your registered Mobile Number and Password.
- Click on the "CLAT Scorecard" tab displayed on the candidate dashboard.
- Your detailed scorecard will appear on screen. Verify all personal particulars and marks.
- Download the scorecard PDF and retain multiple copies for counselling and admission documentation.
Details Reflected on the CLAT Scorecard
- Candidate's Full Name, Roll Number, and Application Number
- Parentsโ / Guardiansโ Names
- Category and State of Domicile status
- Total Marks Scored (out of 120 or adjusted total)
- All India Rank (AIR) - Overall Merit Position
- Category Rank (if applicable for reservation benefits)
- Provisional Eligibility Status for Centralized Counselling
Tie-Breaking Rules for CLAT UG
In the event that two or more candidates obtain identical total marks in CLAT UG, merit ranking is determined in the following order of precedence:
- Higher Marks in Legal Reasoning: Candidate with the higher score in the Legal Reasoning section is ranked higher.
- Seniority by Age: Candidate who is older in age is awarded higher merit.
- Computerized Draw of Lots: If ties still persist, ranking is resolved by a computerized draw of lots.
Tie-Breaking Rules for CLAT PG
- Seniority by Age: The older candidate receives precedence.
- Computerized Draw of Lots: Computerized draw if candidates are of the same age.
Post-Result Centralized Admission Counselling
Shortly following result declaration, the Consortium invites qualified candidates within designated rank bands to participate in Centralized Admission Counselling. Candidates must pay a counselling registration fee (โน30,000 for General and โน20,000 for SC/ST/OBC/PwD) and fill in their preferences across the 24 NLUs. The Consortium then conducts multiple allotment rounds (typically 5 rounds) where candidates can Freeze, Float, or Exit their allotted seat.
