Step-by-Step Guide to Exercising Web Options
“Web Options” is the process where you select and prioritize the colleges you wish to join. Errors here can lead to missing out on a seat even with a good rank.
- Login: Visit deecet.cdse.telangana.gov.in and log in using your Hall Ticket Number and Rank.
- Seat Matrix Check: Before entering options, download the latest seat matrix to see available vacancies in your preferred district.
- Prioritize: Always list Government DIETs first if you have a high rank. List private colleges in descending order of your preference.
- Save & Lock: You can “Save” your options multiple times, but you must “Lock” them before the June 8 deadline.
- Edit Facility: DSE Telangana provides a one-day window on June 9, 2026, to edit your submitted options.
Mandatory Documents for Certificate Verification
Candidates must attend the designated Help Line Centres (HLCs) for physical document verification. Failure to produce even one document can lead to the cancellation of your candidacy.
The “IndCareer” Document Checklist
- TG DEECET 2026 Rank Card & Hall Ticket.
- SSC (Class 10) Marks Memo (for Date of Birth verification).
- Intermediate (10+2) Marks Memo/Pass Certificate.
- Study Certificates from Class 4 to Class 10 (to deteCounselingrmine Local/Non-Local status).
- Transfer Certificate (TC) from the last studied institution.
- Caste Certificate (issued by Meeseva for BC/SC/ST candidates).
- Income Certificate (issued on or after January 1, 2026, for fee reimbursement).
- Special Category Certificates (PH/NCC/Sports/CAP) if applicable.
The “IndCareer” Edge: Avoiding Counseling Pitfalls
The “Infinite Options” Rule: The most common mistake students make is only selecting 2 or 3 colleges. There is no limit to the number of web options you can enter. If you have a rank above 5,000, we recommend entering at least 20-30 college options to ensure you aren’t left without an allotment in Phase 1.
What to do if you don’t get a seat in Phase 1?
- Don’t Panic: Many seats become vacant after Phase 1 because students opt for other courses like B.Ed or Degree.
- Participate in Phase 2: You don’t need to verify certificates again if already done in Phase 1. Just re-enter web options.
- Sliding Option: If you got a seat in Phase 1 but want a better college, you can use the “Sliding” option in subsequent phases.
- Spot Admissions: In August, colleges conduct spot admissions for left-over seats. Keep a close watch on the official website for district-wise vacancy lists.
