NCET 2026 Answer Key – Release Date

NTA decides the exam date and release date of NCET answer key. Important schedule to note is as follows. However please keep checking official website ncet.samarth.ac.in for any changes in timeline.

How to Download NCET 2026 Answer Key & Response Sheet

The NTA provides both the official answer key and your individual Response Sheet (the answers you marked during the exam).

1. Visit the Official Portal: Navigate to ncet.samarth.ac.in.
2. Login: Enter your Application Number and Date of Birth.
3. Access Documents: Click on the link “View/Challenge Answer Key” and “View Response Sheet.”
4. Compare: Match the “Question ID” and “Correct Option ID” from the answer key with your recorded responses.

How to Calculate Your Score

To estimate your performance before the official results, use the marking scheme provided by the NTA:

• For every correct answer: Add +4 marks.
• For every incorrect answer: Deduct -1 mark.
• Unattempted questions: 0 marks.

Formula:

$$Estimated Score = (Correct Answers \times 4) – (Incorrect Answers \times 1)$$

Process to Challenge the Provisional Answer Key

If you find a discrepancy in the provisional key, you can challenge it by following these steps:

• Login to the NCET portal.
• Select the Question ID you wish to challenge.
• Upload Supporting Documents: Provide a PDF of the NCERT textbook or a standard reference that proves the NTA’s key is incorrect.
• Pay the Fee: A non-refundable processing fee of ₹200 per question challenged is usually required.
• Review: NTA subject experts will review all challenges. If valid, the answer key will be updated for all candidates.

Important Instructions Regarding the Final Key

• The Final Answer Key is released after the NTA processes all student objections.
• No further challenges are accepted once the Final Key is out.
• If a question is found to be technically incorrect or dropped by the NTA, all candidates who attempted it (or sometimes all candidates) will be awarded full marks (+4) for that specific question.
