Eligibility Criteria for NCET 2026

NCET 2026 Exam Pattern

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the National Common Entrance Test [NCET] 2026 in 178 Cities and 13 mediums across India in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.

  • Mode of the Test : Computer Based Test (CBT)
  • Test Pattern : Objective type with Multiple Choice Questions
  • Medium : NCET 2026 will be conducted in 13 languages (Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu )
    • Language: Language to be tested through Reading Comprehension, Literary Aptitude, and Vocabulary
    • Domain Subject: As per Class 12 syllabus only.
  • Syllabus –General Test: General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, Quantitative Reasoning, Logical and Analytical Reasoning
    • Teaching Aptitude: Topics related to the teaching of science, Arts, Mathematics, Performing Arts, Languages, etc. 
    • Duration of Test: The examination will be conducted on multiple days in two (02) shifts per day. Each shift will be of 180 minutes.
  • Timing of Examination 
  • Shift 1 : 09:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon
  • Shift 2 : 03:00 P.M. to 06:00 P.M.
