How to Select Your Preferred Exam City

Evaluate Your Location

Assess your current location and identify the cities where the GATE exam is conducted. Shortlist the cities that are feasible for you to travel to.

Check Transportation Options

Research the transportation options available for each shortlisted city. Consider factors like distance, travel time, and cost when making your decision.

Research Exam Centers

Dig deeper into the exam centers in your chosen cities. Read reviews from previous test-takers to gauge the ambiance and facilities. This step ensures that you’re well-informed about your potential test centers.

Important Note:

Choice of Examination City: A candidate can choose THREE cities from the list given above. All the three choices must be from the same GATE 2025 zone. GATE 2025 reserves the right to add a new city or remove an existing one, and allot a city that may not be from any of the choices selected by the candidate.

Withdrawal of International Centres: GATE 2025 will be conducted only in centres within India. It will NOT be conducted in centres outside India. Foreign nationals and Indian citizens residing abroad may appear for GATE 2025, by paying the full application fee (Rs. 1800 per test paper), but they must choose examination cities within India. They must make their own arrangements for travel and accommodation to appear for the exam at an assigned centre within India.
