Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an online examination conducted by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). It is a national-level examination that tests the aptitude and subject knowledge of engineering graduates in various fields of science and technology. The GATE score is used for admissions to postgraduate programs (M.Tech, M.E., MS) and Ph.D. programs in top institutes in India and abroad.
