GATE Answer Key 2027: Response Sheet, Master Key & Challenge Portal at gate2027.iitm.ac.in
The GATE 2027 Answer Key and candidate response sheets will be published by IIT Madras on the GOAPS portal in February 2027 following the conclusion of the examinations. Candidates can review their marked responses against the master question paper and official answer keys to calculate tentative raw scores.
Stages of GATE Answer Key Release
- Candidate Response Sheets: Within a week following the examination, candidates can view their recorded answers for every question.
- Provisional Answer Keys: Official answer keys alongside master question papers are uploaded for all 30 papers.
- Challenge & Objection Window: A 3 to 4 day portal allows candidates to contest any official answer with documentary proof by paying ₹ 500/- per challenge.
- Final Answer Key: After subject committee reviews, the final authoritative key is released. No challenges are entertained thereafter.
How to Calculate Expected Raw Score
Candidates can compute their raw marks using the official marking scheme:

Procedure to Challenge Provisional Answer Keys
To submit an objection on the GOAPS portal:
- Log in to GOAPS using your Enrollment ID and password.
- Click on the Contest Answer Key link.
- Select the Paper Code and Question Number from the Master Question Paper (note: question order in master paper may differ from candidate shift screen).
- Upload clear, standard textbook justification in PDF format.
- Pay the challenge fee of ₹ 500/- per question online. The fee is refunded if the challenge is accepted by the subject committee.
