AP DEECET Cut-Off

The AP DEECET 2026 cut-off is the minimum rank/score required to secure a seat in government DIET colleges. While the qualifying mark is 50% for General and 45% for Reserved categories, actual admission to top-tier DIETs generally requires a competitive score between 55–70 marks depending on district-specific demand.

Factors Influencing the 2026 Cut-Off

The final cut-off is dynamic and determined by several variables:

  • Total Intake Capacity: The number of seats available in Government DIETs vs. Private TTIs.
  • Difficulty Level: Variations in the question paper difficulty compared to the previous year.
  • Applicant Volume: The total number of candidates who qualified and participated in web counseling.
  • District-Specific Demand: Popular districts (like Guntur or Krishna) often witness higher cut-offs due to higher competition.

Understanding Local vs. Non-Local Quota

As per the latest Government of Andhra Pradesh guidelines, admissions are regulated to prioritize local candidates:

  • 85% Seats: Reserved for Local Candidates (students who studied in the respective local area/districts for four consecutive years).
  • 15% Seats: These are unreserved seats. Previously, these allowed for “non-local” participation; however, current policies have tightened rules to prioritize state residents.
  • Area Classification: Candidates must check if they fall under the Andhra University (AU) area or Sri Venkateswara University (SVU) area to determine their local status correctly.

What to do after the results are declared?

  1. Check Rank Card: Download your official rank card from apdeecet.apcfss.in.
  2. Verify Local Status: Ensure all certificates (Residence/Study) are ready, as seat allotment is strictly verified against these.
  3. Exercise Web Options: This is the most crucial step. List as many colleges as possible, prioritizing those you are willing to commute to or relocate for.
  4. Monitor Allotment: Once released, download your Provisional Allotment Order. If a seat is allotted, physical reporting to the college with original documents is mandatory within the stipulated deadline to confirm your admission.
