Department of MFA (Master of Fine Arts)
The college also shall strive to became center of excellence teaching and training the students to become a specialist in particularly some media like clay modeling, stone carving and metal casting are to be trained in creative realistic styles and they exposed towards tradition as well as abstract form and creative. So, they became an individual personality in the sculpture discipline.

Department of Microbiology
The Department of Studies in Microbiology was established in 01-09-1993, as one of the departments of P.G. Centre, under Kuvempu University at JJM Medical College Davangere. The staff and facilities of Department of Microbiology of Medical College were extended to run the course successfully, later moved to Shivagangothri campus in December, 2001. The P.G. center got separated from Kuvempu University and given the university status under the banner of Davangere University on 18th August, 2009.

The Department of Mathematics UBDT College of Engineering was established from its very inception in 1951 has aimed to be a centre of good teaching & learning in mathematics and computing. Department teaches various topics is mathematics to undergraduate and postgraduate students of different engineering and MCA Course. Department has dedicated faculty members of which 2 have Ph. D and 1 has M.Phil. Students of all the engineering departments are benefit by taking core and elective courses in mathematics. The faculty members strive to maintain high standards in teaching and research.

Department Of Biochemistry
The Department of Studies in biochemistry was established in 01-09-1993, as one of the departments of P.G. Centre, under Kuvempu University at JJM Medical College Davangere. The staff and facilities of Department of biochemistry of Medical College were extended to run the course successfully, later moved to Shivagangothri campus in December, 2001. The P.G. center got separated from Kuvempu University and given the university status under the banner of Davangere University on 18th August, 2009.

Department of Institute of Management Studies
IMS (Department of Studies in Business Administration) was established in the year 1992 with 28 students has now grown into a full fledged Institute with an intake of 120 students at the Shivagangothri. The Institute has been offering M.B.A. Programme with specializations in Financial Management, Marketing Management & Human Resource Management. The Institute shall strive to become a centre of excellence in teaching, training, research and consultancy in management education by imparting relevant and quality education, thus empowering all sections of society to meet global challenges.

The Post-graduate Department of Commerce was started in 1979 as one of the two departments, which were started along with the establishment of Post- graduate center at Davangere. The Commerce Department was started in this area, which is considered to be an important commercial city in the state, and it would benefit the students of this area. The P.G. Centre was under the control of University of Mysore. When the Kuvempu University was formed in 1987, the P.G. Centre was brought under the purview of Kuvempu University, so also the Department of Commerce.

The Department of Education was established in the year 2006. The Department has got approval from National Institute of Teacher Education (NITE), New Delhi. Courses Offered M.Sc. in Education(M.Ed) M.Phil. Ph.D.

Department of English
The Department of English was started in 2010 as one of ten departments,which were started along with the establishment of Davanagere University during August 2009. The department is run by guest faculties. There are four guest faculties. The department had two retired Professors Dr. C. Nanjundaiah and Iligar who worked for one year. Later on it is shouldered by only Guest faculty. As the department is run by the Guest faculty, they are not able to dedicate themselves for the development of the department .

Department of Social Work
The Department of Social Work was established in the year 2006. The Master of Social Work course has different specializations, of which we are offering only two specializations, due to paucity of accommodation and staff. As part of the course, fieldwork conferences need to be conducted individually and in group, which require, independent small classrooms. Along with the MSW course, Diploma and certificate courses will be imparted in the emerging fields of social work and allied areas. The Department is proposing a school system for the social work discipline.
