About Department of Social Work
Background, academic mission, and departmental profile
The Department of Social Work was established in the year 2006. The Master of Social Work course has different specializations, of which we are offering only two specializations, due to paucity of accommodation and staff. As part of the course, fieldwork conferences need to be conducted individually and in group, which require, independent small classrooms. Along with the MSW course, Diploma and certificate courses will be imparted in the emerging fields of social work and allied areas. The Department is proposing a school system for the social work discipline. School of Social Work will be on the line of Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS, Mumbai), M.S. University, Baroda and Jamia Islamia University, New Delhi.
