Course Details:

Ph.D English - Stands for Doctor of Philosophy in English. A Ph.D is a four or five year postdoctoral degree depending on submission of thesis, eligibility for which is a M.Phil in English. English is the study of literature, linguistics and philosophy of the English language. The students under this degree are expected to prepare thesis on any of these subjects Poetry, Drama, Prose & Fiction, Literary Criticism, Linguistics, Comparative Literature, New Literature in English etc.
