B.Sc Home Science Faculty is the site of veritable beehive of activity where teaching, research and extension works go hand in hand in perfect unison. The Faculty strives to cultivate capabilities and skills in the students for taking up challenging professions catering to societal needs to various aspects of human development, ecosystem, normal and therapeutic nutrition, food processing, textile testing, dress designing and dietary and family counseling.The extension activities of the faculty are diverse and help rural people in child care, processing and preservation of food, dress designing and tailoring, guiding parents and community people for behavioural problems of children and deal with social problems.The mission is to provide education, with a commitment to high quality, value based and holistic education responsive to the needs of the society and the country.
