Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University is a public funded agricultural university located at HisarHaryana. It is one of the biggest agricultural universities in Asia. It is named after India’s seventh prime minister, Chaudhary Charan Singh. It was established as a university by Haryana and Punjab Agricultural Universities Act, ratified 2 February 1970 and was named as Haryana Agricultural University. On 31 October 1991, it was renamed as Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University.

The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs. Undergraduate programs award B.Sc. (Hons) and B.Tech. in various agricultural fields. Postgraduate programmes award M.Sc. and M.B.A. programme, and there is also Ph.D. programme. Admission to the undergraduate programmes (except B.Sc. Home Science and B. Tech in Agricultural Engineering) is through a Common Entrance Test that includes questions on Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics/Agriculture. The seats for B. Tech in Agricultural Engineering are filled through AIEEE and exam by Indian Council of Agricultural Research.
