Eligibility

A candidate may be admitted to the first Year B.A/B.Sc/B.Com (Honours/General/Major) courses of studies on passing (10+2) exam in general or vocational stream conducted by the council of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent examination conducted by other State Board/Council, Rabindra Mukta Vidyalaya or National Open School recognised by the Distant Learning Council subject to the fulfillment of the conditions mentioned below:

In case of other Boards/Councils, a candidate shall have to pass in four recognised subjects of full marks not being less than 100 each of which one shall be English

Marks obtained in top four subjects shall be considered to ascertain the aggregate marks of a candidate passing the examination under grade system

Also for candidates passing the (10+2) Examination from West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education under old system, marks obtained in top four subjects shall be considered to determine their aggregate marks

A candidate taking up Honours Course in a subject must have obtained:

A minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination or; 55% in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying exam

However, candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe community taking up Honours Course of Study must have obtained a minimum of 40% marks in the subject or related subjects at the previous qualifying examinations, as the case may be

Application form:

On-line submission of forms for admission to B.A/B.Sc/BBA courses in Scottish Church College for the session 2013-16 is on and closes a week after WB Board results are announced

Applications are to be submitted On-line only

No printed forms will be available from anywhere

Application fee (Rs. 200.00) + Bank charges can be remitted at any branch of Axis Bank in India using the downloaded Bank-slip

The college admits students strictly in accordance with merit-lists prepared as per University/College norms

Scottish Church College, Kolkata
The spread of European education in alliance with the doctrine of Christianity had been an important impetus to missionary enterprise in India in the nineteenth century. Scottish Church College, established in 1830 as the General Assembly's Institution and given its present name in 1929 is an institution born out of one such impetus.
