About Kharagpur Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Kaushallya

In the year 1971, some generous personalities of Kharagpur came forward to establish a composite Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital in the central part of this town to cater the needs of the distressed humanity and of those thirsting for knowledge in Homoeopathy.

Kharagpur Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital was first set temporarily in a Railway area at Subhaspally Gate, Kharagpur in 1971 and in 1978 this Institution was shifted to Kausallya, about 2 K.M. off from the Railway station.

The institution has introduced B.H.M.S. (Homoeopathy Degree) course under The West Bengal University of Health Sciences.

The syllabus, course and the curriculum has been introduced by the Central Council of Homoeopathy, New Delhi.

Homoeopathy (Minimum standards of Education) Regulation 1983. and amended regulations, 2002, Homoeopathy Central Council (MSR) Regulations, 2013 and degree course BHMS regulations 1983 amended upto March,2016.

In addition to this staff and student of this college had made valuable contribution from the inception of this institution.

The teaching staff consists of a band of men representing some of the ablest member of the profession having name and fame for their skill and education in their respective subjects. The students always extend their whole hearted Co-operation whenever necessary. This is an ideal home of education where cordial relation exists between the teachers and the taught.

I, sincerely hope that in near future our College will achieve more name and fame by virtue of its dedicated service to humanity.
