The flagship Institute of MIET Group, namely Meerut Institute of Engineering & Technology MIET was established in 1997 as the fourth oldest self-financed engineering college in Uttar Pradesh. Its renowned academic environment, extensive Alumni network in over 200 companies, excellent placements and numerous extra-curricular activities make it a great educational institution. It is currently ranked as the 4th best Engineering College in Uttar Pradesh by Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow.

MIET Kumaon has been established by the Dev Bhoomi Foundation, a trust incorporated for the sole purpose of furthering higher education in Uttarakhand. The trustees of Dev Bhoomi Foundation are well known for their philanthropic efforts in the fields of primary education, higher education and medicine. Over the past three decades, they have set up several Engineering Colleges, Schools of Pharmacy, Business Schools, CBSE-affiliated schools and hospitals in the states of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Meerut Institute of Engineering & Technology, Noida Institute of Engineering & Technology, Meerut Institute of Technology and MIET CCS Campus are institutions managed by the trustees via their other trusts and societies.
