IIIT, Lucknow announces Admission to M.Tech. Programs
Indian Institute of Information Technology, Lucknow (IIIT Lucknow) is one of the 20 IIITs being set up by the Central Government in Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode. IIIT Lucknow admitted its first batch of B. Tech. in Information Technology with an intake of 50 students w.e.f. the academic session 2015-16.
The institute currently operates from IIIT Allahabad (the mentor institute) in Deoghat, Jhalwa, Allahabad (Prayagraj). It currently offers all the amenities, academic and non-academic to its students that can help them flourish and serve the nation with all their apprehension in the various fields of technology.
The admission is made through central counselling of candidates who qualify in JEE (Main).
The permanent campus of IIIT Lucknow is coming up in 50 acres of land at Chak Ganjaria Region, Gomti Nagar Extension, Lucknow. The Institute is being set up with the financial contributions of MHRD, Govt. of India, Govt. of Uttar Pradesh, and U. P. Electronics Corporation Ltd. as industry partners.
The mission of IIIT Lucknow is to be a unique and world class nucleating "Apex Center of Excellence" in the area of Information Technology so as to enhance India's Technological strength in Information Technology. IIIT seeks to derive its strength from a linkage with sound Indian traditions of centuries past, and sets out to create knowledge-based resources in regional languages.
The first batch of students will be selected by CSAB 2015.This year classes will held at IIIT, Allahabad Jhalwa Campus.The first batch of students of IIIT, Lucknow will avail all the facilities of IIIT, Allahabad.
At IIITA, we understand the importance of staying connected for the persuasion of knowledge and widening of vision. Following that philosophy, the institute ensures to provide connectivity to all its inhabitants in every fringe of the campus throughout the 24 hours.
The IIIT-A central library has a repository of more than 50000 books concerning myriad disciplines of study such as pure and applied sciences, computer science, information technology, electronics and communication technology, information security and management. It can accommodate up to 150 students at a time.
A healthy mind resides in a healthy body. IIIT-Allahabad provides an excellent physical activities infrastructure for its residents to ensure that academic development is duly supplemented by sufficient physical development as well. A well maintained football ground – complete with spectator stands serves as the principal venue for most of the sports events organized by “Spirit” – the sports club of IIIT-Allahabad. A duly marked athletic track circumscribing the ground serves to provide for a safe track for not only the athletic events – but the early morning joggers as well.
The Institute has eight official clubs and they all have their separate working rooms situated at the SAC, right next to the Old Canteen and the tennis court.
The health center of the institute is a 24×7 functional body that provides OPD care and first aid facilities for the residents where prompt treatment for ailments and small wounds can be availed. A multi-bed hospital meant for admitting students with greater illness is also maintained. Facilities like ECG and Pathology for basic routine tests on weekdays are also available and can be availed as per need.
Boys Hostel
The Boys Hostel Campus consisting of BH1, BH2, BH3 and BH4, situated across the road from the main campus, is a vibrant place allotted to the present students and research scholars of the campus. With a residential capacity exceeding 800 and a new hostel BH5 coming up and soon to be operational, the boys hostel campus is the perfect place to be at peace and rest or to put in more of one’s strength and energy when not involved elsewhere in some other pursuit of life which may not include academics.
Girls Hostel
IIIT Allahabad provides hostel facility with a homely environment to the lady scholars of the institute. It consists of three hostels GH1, GH2, GH3 constituting separate air conditioned mess and gym facilities with 24hrs guidance of caretakers.

Indian Institute of Information Technology IIIT, Lucknow offers various graduate courses as well as Post Graduate courses.
This course is arguably the best in the country. Its strength is its adaptability to the changing industry requirements. A student gets knowledge of the latest technologies, in addition to ample industry exposure. The students are given a choice of subject from the 6th semester itself in the form of electives. The students have ample practical knowledge owing to the mini projects taken up in their 5th, 6th and 7th semesters. Apart from this, the students are required to submit an industrial project in their 8th semester. The course includes both theory and lab sessions. The curriculum emphasizes importance of applied knowledge, and promotes state-of-the-art teaching and learning.
