Gyan Institute of Management & Technology is among the renowned institutes of business administration in Uttar Pradesh. The college pioneered its effort towards shaping the leaders of tomorrow in 1998, under the guidance of Gyan Charity Trust. It was established to develop managers of high caliber, who can efficiently manage the resources thereby contributing to national development. Initially, Gyan Institute of Management & Technology was affiliated to Dr. RML Avadh University, but currently, the college is affiliated to UP Technical University, Lucknow. It is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India, to impart high standards of education in management studies, at the postgraduate level.
Institute aims at providing management education to meet with the challenging situations of every kind faced today by modern large scale industries. Our faculty members have more than a decade of consultancy experience with multinational and Indian Companies. Some of them have worked at senior positions in Multinational Companies, for several years before getting associated with us thereby providing Gyan Institute of Management and Technology with an abundant source of Knowledge coupled with Industry Awareness. We are sensitive to the needs of the students and feel their concerns like procuring placements, developing proper communication skills, choosing proper specialization and proper company for establishing their career. At GIMT we dedicate ourselves towards imparting a quality education which is unparallel to any other institute in the country.
We concentrate on upgrading students' communication skills and over all awareness of management by guest lectures, seminars, management development programmes etc.
GIMT has a placement cell consisting of several young and experienced members, that also includes students as coordinators having extensive links and consultancy connections with leading industrial concerns. The cell uses its extensive links with industry to offer the students excellent placement facilities, for which a large no. of companies are invited to visit the institute and recruit GIMT

GYAN GROUP has emerged as a uniquejoint effort business activities viz. financing, business centers and pharmaceutical manufacturing units etc. With the full fledged support of "Gayan Group", GYAN CHARITY TRUST having its head office at L-65 Kalkaji, New Delhi and branch office at Gyan Bhawan, Lucknow was established on 28th Aug. 89, to fulfil the long cherished desire of Late Smt. Gyan Devi W/O Shri D.C. Gupta, for providing help to the needy and economically weaker sections of the society. GIMT was established in the year 1997 under the aegis of Gyan Charity Trust at Gyan Bhawan, 8- Kapoorthala, Aliganj, Lucknow. The institute had many laurels and earned reputation and recognition by all under the dedicated guidance and measures adopted by Mr. Mohit Gupta, Founder and President of GIMT. It is an organization having its governing body and advisory board, which consists of management experts from the industry as well as from the academic field.
