University of Roorkee Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering The department was established in the year 1964 with Undergraduate courses in Electronics and Communication. Master's programme was started in 1965 which was subsequently restructured in the year 1988 to four specializations viz. Communication Systems, Control and Guidance , Microwave and Radar and Solid State Electronics. Presently, in addition to the above, the department offers Bachelor's and Master's programme in Computer Science and Technology as well.
