About Shanmuganathan Engineering College, Arasampatti

Engineering Institute of Eminence and of Excellence wherein aspiring students from rural and backward regions could have the best of Engineering Education at affordable costs. It was the ardent wish of the great visionary and philanthropist Mrs.S.Valliammai, W/o.Late S.Ps.S.Pichappa of Devakottai to establish in memory of her son P.Shanmuganathan an Institution of Eminence and of Excellence wherein aspiring students from rural and backward regions could have the best of Engineering Education at affordable costs. With this objective Mrs.S.Valliammai as the Managing Trustee of the Shanmuganathan Educational Trust established the Shanmuganathan Engineering College. She guides the institution as its Chairperson.

The College is privileged to have Dr. S.Nilavalagan,B.E.,M.Tech.,Ph.D., as the Director of the college. He is a great academician with 35 years of teaching and administrative experience in Govt Engineering Colleges. He had served as Controller of Examinations and Registrar in Alagappa University, Karaikudi. He has rendered valuable service as a Member of Board of Studies in Madurai Kamarajar University as well as Academic Council Member in Anna University, Chennai.

It would be the unceasing endeavour of everyone in the institution to prepare the students to face stiff competition and coping with the continuous rapid strides in technology with courage and confidence by providing them every opportunity to attain a high degree of professional competence through sustained rigorous training. Such students should prove to be an asset not only to their families but to the country itself as crusaders of its future progress and prosperity.
