The institution seeks to be nurtured in " Faith , Humility and Service" which were the guiding principles in the life of Bishop Appasamy, after whom the college is named, Situated in Race Course, the prime locality of Coimbatore, a South Indian textile and industrial town, the college places its emphasis on integrating faith and spiritual values in day-to-day living. The College offers both undergraduate and masters programme. Varied para-professional disciplines like Costume Design, Visual Communication, Catering Science , Management, Social Work and Finance , which have a cutting edge in the present industrial scenario is being offered. Academic excellence by way of 100% results and gold medals endorsing scholastic performance is a byword for the dedicated staff and students. The teaching faculty of BACAS consists of 68 fully qualified members who are encouraged to pursue the research programmes.The student body is made up of nearly 1130 students, in the current year which also consists of students from other states and nationalities. participation in creative arts like pottery, gardening, music , dance, painting, and sports is a part of every day workout which is compulsory for all students.Contribution to the community is by way of service to the prison inmates, assistance to the traffic police school for Drop-out children, Women's Development Programmes. National Service Scheme, National Cadet Corps etc., The College is centrally located, which sports easy access to students. It has a well-equipped digitalized library with 12445 books and 91 periodicals, inclusive of journals . Workshop and forums are frequently held with the assistance of eminent resource persons. Labs are equipped with more than 110 computers in LAN environment and latest video & audio equipemnt. The college offers separate hostel facility for both girls & boys.
