Department of Chinese
The Department of Chinese is the first such Centre in Chinese in the whole of Northeast India which offers a degree course in Chinese for both Bachelor and Master programmes.
Founded in July 2010, the Department has since run a comprehensive academic programme in intensive Modern Chinese language training as well as in Chinese Studies. The curricula for the BA-MA programme have been designed by distinguished Sinologists from some of the most reputed universities across the country, namely Jawaharlal Nehru University, University of Delhi, Visva-Bharati University, and Banaras Hindu University.
