Govind National College, Narangwal was established in the year 1966, Govind National College, Narangwal is affiliated to Panjab University, Chandigarh
Govind National College, Narangwal Ldh is run by Patna Sahib Education Trust which was set up by Late S. Joginder Singh Grewal PP Sahib on Jan 25, 1966 under inspiration from Sant Baba Gurdit Singh Ji, Kutia Sahib Wale. The foundation stone of the college was laid by Sant Baba Harbans Singh Ji on April 24,1966. Since that day, this college has been spreading education in rural areas in science Non-medical and Humanities upto degree classes. From session 2006-07, the College had started Post-graduate classes in Punjabi and Mathematics, B.P.ED Two year course, D.P.ED two year course, M.P.ED two year course, PGDCA, BCA, B.Com and B. Sc. Agriculture.
In addition, B. Voc. courses in Automobile, Retail Managemant and Green House Technology have also been introduced from session 2018-19.
The college is headed by a highly energetic, dynamic and dedicated Principal, Dr. Avinash Kaur. Out of total 30 sanctioned posts, the College has nineteen aided posts of qualified teachers, and there are fourteen Ph.D’s and seven M.Phil’s. The college is developing by leaps and bounds under the able guidance of following Trustees:

The College has succesfully hosted Panjab University Youth Zonal and Heritage festival several times . Besides youth festival, the college conducts various cultural and religious functions, educational seminars, conferences, extension lectures, annual convocation and prize distribution function. In the field of sports , the college hosts several sports tournaments of Panjab University, Chd every year. The college won Overall championship in sports for both boys and girls for the last several years.
