Guru Nanak Khalsa College for Women, Model Town, Gujarkhan Campus, Ludhiana is one of the premier institutions of learning afffiliated with Panjab University Chandigarh. This Postgraduate college was established in the year 1969, in commemoration of the 500th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

The founder architects & stalwarts of the institutions were Sardar Bahadur S.Bishan Singh and S. Sant Singh Gujarkhani- the president and General Secretary respectively of Guru Nanak Education Trust (Gujarkhan). The trust had its roots in Rawalpindi(Pakistan) since 1919 and in1954, after partition, again dedicated itself to the cause of education and spreading the light of knowledge among the ignorant masses-a task which in itself was challenging, taking into consideration, the social and economic conditions of those days.

The real strength and inspiration behind these institutions are the highly enlightened and spirited members of the Governing Body, under the stewardship of S. Paramjit Singh Sarna, President Delhi Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee (DGPC) as its President and Prof. Gurbir Singh as its General Secretary, who have put in their heart and soul for academic expansion in all the institutions to meet the challenges of Twenty – First Century.

Situated in the posh locality of Model Town, the pollution free, beautiful campus provides the best facilities to the students. Some of the highlights are-Its spick and span campus with lush green lawns and vast playgrounds, Home Science Labs with all the modern gadgets, newly added Psychology Laboratory with latest equipment, harmonious Music Rooms, artistic Fine Arts department, an underground Scooter/Bicycle Stand, a Canteen and a Mess, a Dining Hall, an indoor Gymnasium and a spacious Auditorium with a capacity of 1000 seats, a Seminar Room with all the modern Audio and Video facilities. State of the art Computer Labs with latest technology, a comfortable Hostel facility with all the modern amenities, and a well stocked Library with latest books and provision for reprography.

This college is affiliated with Punjab University, Chandigarh for degree and post graduate classes in MA(Eng.), M.Com. and PGDCA. College imparts education in the streams of Humanities, Commerce and Computer Applications(BCA), Business Administration (BBA), Honours in English, Punjabi & Commerce up to Graduation level.

College also imparts some ADD ON COURSES including: Fashion Designing, Functional English and Tours & Travels.
