Background, academic mission, and departmental profile
In the period of 22 years of its existence, the center and the university have produced 29 Doctorates and more than 100 M.Phil adjudicated. bt present 10 M.Phil (full time) scholars have been enrolled for their research proogramme, 4 University Research Fellowships and 1 Junior Research Fellowship have been awarded during the year 2005-06. Apart from that more than 20 Ph.D Scholars have been registered for part time programme. One Major and four Minor projects were submitted to UGC for funding.
