The Department of Environmental Science was created in 2011 with the aim of providing innovative knowledge and awareness at the forefront of interdisciplinary sciences focusing on environmental care and renewable energy. The department is established with well-equipped smart classes, laboratory and library, and offers new interdisciplinary curricula for the postgraduate students. The curricula cover the subjects with the current thrust areas of various environmental and renewable-energy sciences.

=> The department is equipped with good classroom, library and laboratory facilities for both PG and research students for their studies and for carrying out research and student practical works in various multidisciplinary fields of Environmental Science.
=> The laboratory is facilitated with adequate facilities and instruments such as simple ph meter, conductivity meter, flame photometer, UV Vis spectrophotometer, Vacuum Rotary Evaporator, Deep Freezer, Incubator shaker, Weather Monitoring Station, Respirable Dust Sampler, Electrophoretic apparatus, Trinocular microscope and other accessories.
=> Full time internet facilities and arena for discussion forums provides an encouraging environment within the department.
