Center For Peace And Social Harmony
Center for peace and social Harmony is an ambitions project of this
university which is funded by National Council of Rural Institutes, Ministry of HRD, and Government of India. The centre was established in the year 2006 with the objectives to create educated and trained manpower in academic, village and voluntary organizations equipped with required Knowledge, skills and Gandhian values and orientation required for promotion of peace and social integration.
The center has adopted six villages of Kashi vidyapeeth Block to work for rural development particularly to motivate people for self- employment, income
generation activities, innovative agriculture, organic farming, Participation in governmental and non-governmental rural development schemes and create
awareness regarding negative aspect of caste, community and gender based dis-
crimination so that peace and social harmony can be established and further
maintained.
