Located in Mungsaji Maharaj Mahavidyalaya Darwha established in 1971,the society is wellknown with the name of Vidya Prasarak Mandal , Darwha is the first educational institution in this region., Starting with the three faculties of Arts, Commerce & Science the college over the years has earned the reputation as the first college in Darwha to have all the three faculties of Arts, Commerce and Science under one roof. The college is situated in its own campus on the Yavatmal road, easily accessible from all parts of Darwha city. The college is affiliated to Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati and it offers instruction through English and Marathi medium. It has well established laboratories, library and the departments are manned with competent staff. Computerization of the teaching department and the administrative section is in progress., The college has many unique characteristics.In every sense a commendable achievement of the institution. Over the years, The Political Science Department has introduce new subject which are directely related to social utility i.e.Human Rights, with the financial asistance from U.G.C.(Under Letter No.F/1-147 2012) Computer department of the commerce & Science faculty is another landmark in the development of the college. In extra - curricular activities the college is not lagging behind.
