M.A. Marathi - Stands for Master of Arts in Marathi. Typically an M.A. is a two year postgraduate degree, eligibility for which is an undergraduate degree in any discipline. Marathi is the study of literature, linguistics and philosophy of the Marathi language. Subjects typically studied under this degree are Poetry, Drama, Fiction, Literary Criticism, Literary History etc.The M.A. Programme is for two years. For both the years four papers are offered respectively out of which two papers are compulsory.
