SETP In line with the Skill Initiative of Govt. of India, SASMIRA's Education & Training Program SETP is oriented towards various skill-based design & merchandising programs which SASMIRA has been conducting since its inception. In addition to the regular courses in Fashion Designing, Textile Designing & Apparel Merchandising, we conduct two full time Undergraduate Programs in Fashion Design & Textile Designing and the two years full time Post Graduate program in Apparel Merchandising in collaboration with the University of Mumbai through Garware Institute of Career Education & Development GICED, In addition to the existing courses, under the aegis of SETP, part time diploma courses in Weaving, Wet Processing and Weaving CAD is also undertaken., Our, students participate in several design competitions like Designer of the Year & Face of the Year by Zen Asia, Intercollegiate Design Meet at Vastra by VJTI, etc. They also participated in various seminars and workshops throughout the year. The Annual Fashion Show - Enchant�, where the Fashion Collections of the final passing out Design students are showcased and is attended by the industry, fashion celebrities and is highly appreciated., The placement record of the SETP dept. is also appreciable, especially with the Merchandising students, having more than 95% job placements in well-known garment & textile industries in and around Mumbai., Vision, Attracting the newer generation students towards Fashion & Textiles, the second-largest employment generation sector providing not only livelihoods to millions of households, but is a storehouse of traditional skills, heritage and a carrier of culture too., Mission, To develop need based human resources to cater to the Indian Textile, Fashion and Garment Industry.
