Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil College, Vashi, is one of the most flourishing branches of the Rayat Shikshan Sanstha and well reputed in the Jurisdiction of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Mumbai Division and University of Mumbai. Since its inception in 1979, the college has been galloping towards academics, quality education and infrastructural accomplishment.

The college has a sprawling campus of 5 acres in the heart of Satellite City, Vashi, Navi Mumbai. Today, the college imparts quality education in four streams viz. Arts, Commerce, Science, Management. Arts and Commerce streams conduct its programs at both UG and PG levels. Science stream conducts UG, PG programs including self financial programs in Computer Science, Information Technology and Bioanalytical Sciences. Management and Biotechnology conducts only UG courses. The college also conducts M.Sc. By Research and Ph.D. programs in the subjects of Microbiology, Chemistry Organic, Inorganic & Analytical36656856333333333333333352 and Physics. The college has been identified as a Community College by University of Mumbai. The college runs ‘Sales Management and Retail Training SMART’ course under this community status. Besides these courses, our college has been identified as a center for distance education affiliated to Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University YCMOU, Nasik which provides the programs viz. B. Lib, M. Lib and M. B. A.

The college has been reaccredited at ‘A’ grade with CGPA 3.28 by NAAC in January 2011. In recent years, the college has witnessed its infrastructural, quantitative and qualitative developments because of it received the grants for the strengthening of PG departments and development science laboratories under FIST program from Department of Science and Technology DST and STAR status from Department of Biotechnology DBT respectively.

The college has been bestowed by ‘Best College Award’ for its academic excellence from University of Mumbai on 26th January 2014 for the year 2012-13. It’s an ISO 9001:2008 certified institute. The college has also received ‘Certificate of Merit in Innovation’ under Graduate Science Category, on the occasion of Higher Education Forum HEF Annual Convention on 14th March 2015.

College has range of co-curricular and extracurricular activities organized for the students to insure all round development of the young students. Safety, gender equality and social justice are considered to be of utmost priority.
