MGM FNINE had its inception in August 1992 for imparting 3 years Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery with an annual intake of 30 students.

The Institute is recognized by Indian Nursing Council and Maharashtra Nursing Council. The Diploma programme in Nursing has been revised to 3 years and 6 months course w.e.f/ August 2004.

Keeping in line with the motto of MGM trust “In pursuit of academic excellence", the institute strives to inculcate scientific knowledge, positive attitudes and skills in its students.

The institute is equipped with graduate and postgraduate teaching faculty, qualified/trained from the reputed institutes of India who bring the students at par with the best of institutes in the state.

The Institute has been able to establish and maintain the standards of nursing education and service that it has to its credit state level rank holders. So far 551 nurses have graduated from this institute who are working in the best of the hospitals in India and abroad.

Mahatma Gandhi Mission is a Charitable Trust registered under Bombay Public Trust Act 1950 and Societies Registration Act 1860. The Trust is dedicated to the service of mankind
