The Department of Chemistry, J.N. Vyas University, Jodhpur has an outstanding track record in the field of research and post-graduate teaching. The members of the department have participitated in much prestigious assignment including the Advisory Committee for S.S. Bhatnagar Award. Many teachers have been awarded post-doctorate fellowships abroad for advanced research. The immediate plan of the department is to strengthen the infrastructure of the teaching and research under the FIST programme of Department of Science & Technology, Government of India. The university department of chemistry imparts the excellence in post-graduate teaching of M.Sc. Chemistry in four-semester programme supported by COSIST and presently by Special Assistance Programme (SAP) of UGC. M.Sc Chemistry (under SAP) provides an opportunity to choose advanced and job-oriented elective courses in their fourth semester.
