Background, academic mission, and departmental profile
School of Social Sciences (SSS) at IFTM University has a rich heritage of academic achievements and creative pursuits. The school has an active participation from all students and teachers in the social activities. The school regularly organizes seminars, symposia, talks by senior subject specialists, workshops with NGOs, inter-college quizzes and debates and field trips. Many faculty members distinguished themselves in diverse fields like teaching and research in India and abroad, management, law, public relations, advertising, publishing, broadcasting, and as development professionals in government and NGOs
School of Social Sciences (SSS) comprises of two Departments namely Department of English and Department of Arts.
The SSS offers B. A, MA (English), MA (Sociology) and MA (Economics). In additions, it offers core and elective subjects of Humanities to Diploma, Graduation and Postgraduation levels for various programmes of other Schools of the University.
The School has well equipped Language lab with most modern audio-video and ICT facility for training the students on soft skills, such as pronunciations, verbal communication, and listening comprehension.
