      About Minerva College Of Education, Indora

      Minerva College of Education, located in Indora in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, conducts one year of Bachelor of Education B. Ed course in various disciplines of science medical & non-medical and arts stream, through regular full-time learning mode. The autonomous educational institution, which started its first academic session in 2008, is affiliated to Himachal Pradesh University HPU, Shimla.

MCE affiliated with Himachal Pradesh University – Shimla, H.P. is a provider of university level education and research. Here at Minerva College of Education we are trying to engage our pupil teachers in research that addresses critical educational and social problems. In recent years the college has undergone a period of rapid change and infrastructural development. The college is committed to the modernization of facilities and infrastructure which will include further modernization of classrooms, learning facilities and recreational activities. We focus on conserving resources and increase recycling to construct an environment friendly campus that can be enjoyed by students, staff, the community and visitors also.

      From the modest beginning, MGI library is on the verge of real take off as it combines the virtues of classic reading with the strength of 21st century technology.

      The MGI Library has a vast collection of text books for students besides a collection of reference books, Journals and periodicals. More than 10 % books are added every year on recommendations of the faculty members and the students. Library has separate reference section, magazine and periodical section and a reading room.
      Books are treasure of Knowledge. The college has facility of a well equipped library of its own. The library has five thousand of quality books. In the library, there is a facility of

      (a) Journals like Edu Tracks , University News, Indian Education Review , Indian Educational Abstracts, Researchers tandem, Educational Herald and Anveshika.

      (b) Magazines like Pratiyogita Darpan, Competition Success Review, India Today, Sports Star and Digit.

      (c) News papers like Divya Himachal, The Tribune, Apaka Faisla, Time of India and Employment News.

      (d) Encyclopedias in different subjects like Psychology, Philosophy, Research , Guidance Counseling ,Educational Technology and Physical Education.
      From the very beginning MGI has taken the lead in establishing well equipped and modern lab facilities. The mission of MGI is to enhance knowledge and educate students in latest technology used in industry and also to understand the practical aspects of each course/ subject in depth.
      We are committed to provide quality education and preserve knowledge. With this as aim, the laboratories at MGI are equipped with latest equipment, tools and instruments to cater to the requirement of budding technocrats.
      This institute has well established labs like Science lab, Psychology lab, Technology lab, Language Lab and computer Lab etc. All these Labs are fully equipped with latest technology equipments.
      Sports facilities are available in the campus. Annual Sports event is held in the month of December in every year
      Our institute has transport facility for the students and staff members from neighboring cities and village like Pathankot, Mohtali, Dah Kulara, Nangal Bhur, Kandrori, Nurpur, Jawali, Jassur, Indora.
      Separate hostel facility for boys and girls is available in the campus the mess facility of the hostel is dust free, insect free, non polluting and hygienic.

      MGI offers a state of the art computing facility with 1;1 student to Computer ratio. The computer labs housing more than networked computers cater to computing requirements of both staff and students.
      The computer labs offer a mix of Dual Core and Core 2 Duo and thin technology based terminals connected to servers. A dedicated 3 Mbps lease line has been installed to provide uninterrupted internet facility round the clock with 125 KVA UPS for backup
      A workshop is a place where the budding technocrates learn handling of tools and basic operations on machines. We have a well maintained workshop with latest and most advanced equipment procured from reputed brands.
