College Jukhala came into being on October 07th, 1995. The sprawling campus is spreading in several acres in sylvan surroundings that bless it with an unmatched serenity. The whispering pines and mighty trees send the signals of inspiration and add to its natural beauty which augment both academic and professional atmosphere of the institution.Affiliated to Himachal Pradesh University Shimla, the college is imparting education mainly to rural youths in various disciplines i.e. humanities, science and commerce at undergraduate level. The admission in all disciplines in the first year of bachelor degree courses is offered as per HPU norms. The college is recognized by UGC, New Delhi and is covered under section 2 f and 12 B of UGC Act. 1956., UGC Resource Centre is set up to provide internet access to the students. The college has been accredited with B-Grade by NAAC in 2014. An Internal Quality Assurance Cell is constantly striving in tandem with college administration to bring qualitative improvement in academics. A well oiled NAAC committee remains busy throughout the year, to prepare for the subsequent cycle of accreditation of the institution., The college boasts to have conference hall, four smart classrooms and sports ground. The well equipped laboratories in the departments of Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Physics, Computer and Geography provide in-depth understanding to the students., The college has one unit under NSS which inculcates qualities such as leadership, sense of responsibility and dignity of labour among the volunteers. In order to spread awareness among youths about health & hygiene, Red Ribbon Club is functioning in the college. Moreover, college has Rover and Rangers units for boys and girls which are doing a commendable job in enlivening its motto ‘Service Above Self’. The college has sufficient sports infrastructure to provide opportunities to every student to excel in various sports., The Career Guidance Cell of this college is functioning efficiently to guide the students for various competitive examinations.
